Fridge problem

We are currently on a French caravan site. Mrs H says the fridge went off during the night - the blue light was flashing. We assumed there had been a power cut.

It's a Thetford fridge.

However, this morning, whenever she used the hair dryer, the fridge went off and the light flashed, then came on again, then went off again.....etc

Nothing has tripped either inside or on the bollard. We had very little other electrical things on (just water heater and water already hot, and snyway, same happened when I turned it off).

The fridge instructions say that error 8 displays if here is insufficient power supply (it's the error message that comes on when we unplug from the mains). They also say   that if the power drops 20% below 230 volts then this message displays.

Is it likely that this is the problem? Do we not have enough volts? (I know nothing about electricty).

Incidently, our tester showed reverse polarity, but using the reverse polarity adapter made no difference to the fridge issue.
