What rules would you keep?

I have had a quick look through the posts on 'What rules would you change' and it occurred to me that I like the rules. I like that - the speed limit is 5mph, that dogs should be kept on a lead, that children should only play ball games in the play area,
that the camp should go quiet later at night and I like that I know what time to arrive and more importantly that there should be a choice of pitches because people left on time.

I like your first four, but prefer a bit of spontenaity regarding clock watching during my leisure time! Not to worry though, we love CLs, they suit us a bit better.Happy

Don't all the rules have a basis in common sense? That makes them worth keeping.

If everyone was thoughtful and considerate you wouldn't need any rules

I had four week run to the sun last summer and no one mentioned a rule to me anywhere along the way. Were there any?  I liked it - so I'm going again.

I like the OP's suggestions. All good rules based on common sense and consideration for others.

The ability to book single nights (no minimum number of nights) and the sensible employment of common sence but only when circumstances allow that slightly later departure as per the rule! Definately  keep both these well established rules!

    I'd keep this one:

"Dogs are welcome on all Club Sites at no extra cost"

    It's why we joined!

    Cheers

Does have a tendency to make the CC a bit like the provisional wing of the Kennel Club though

If all dog owners were considerate and thoughtful they wouldn't need rules.

The above statement also works equally well if you substitute the word "members" for "dog owners" !

Dogs or humans? Never been distrubed by noisy dogs late at night, been disturbed by noisy humans plenty of times.  Although not too often on CC sites to be fair.
