Take care out there.
Yesterday we were returning home after a week in the lakes in a b&b. We were going south on the M6 when we were slowed down to 30mph, on the north side we could see blue lights flashing. We then saw a caravan overturned in the middle of the motorway, the
car was still attached but hung in the middle of the air. Caravan wrecked and the car didn't look much better. The only good thing was the couple looked unhurt, sat on the barrier. Such a shame, we felt so sorry for them. 6 mile hold up behind them back to
Knutsford, it's only when you see a hold up like this that you really realise how many lorries are on the roads. Don't know what happened but there didn't seem to be any other vehicles involved, maybe snaking. So all take care when towing.

Apparently the police were recording the details of every motorist going past in the queue using a mobile phone to record the scene. Its these rubber neckers that cause as much delay as the actual accident.

Has the freedom for a passenger in a motor vehicle to operate a camera now also been eroded?

No.
The report said the police were recording the details of every motorist going past in the queue using a mobile phone to record the scene. It made no reference to passengers.

When passing an incident on the other carriageway I always fix my gaze on the car in front and overcome my curiosity to glance over. That way you can take avoiding action if the car in front stops and the other reason is that I have no inclination to witness
somebody's personal tragedy (unless I can help in some way).0
