We've just spent 5 nights on this site and could well have spent a lot longer there. It is run by volunteers as it is owned by the National Trust, and it's rules are less stringent than those of the CC. One does not have a peg to pitch up to, and can pitch
your van as you wish within the limits of your pitch. It's pricing structure is such that the peak price only exists over bank holiday weekends and for the week of the Spring bank holiday. The site is more like a large non-facility CL than a club site, and
one can only book directly by phone as there's no computor link-up, although there is TV and phone reception, so internet tethering is possible. There are a number of waymarked walks from the site and the bird life is abundant. A superb site for those that
like peace and tranquility.
