About two months ago I noticed a "clunking" from the back of my car.  Had a look underneath and couldn't spot anything obvious so did the usual and ignored it.

On Saturday took it for an MOT and discovered I'd got two broken coil springs.  Obviously an instant fail, but when I mentioned I'd been towing the caravan with the annoying clunk the mechanic turned a shade of pale and told me I was one lucky bunny.

Thankfully only my bank balance has been damaged but could have been a whole lot worse.
