How is the dividing wall fixed to the outer wall?

Hi the wall that divides our shower from the bathroom has developed a small gap ( say 3 to 4 mm) upon closer inspection all but 2 screws have come out of the outer wall from the "L" shaped fixing bracket
holding the dividing wall to the outer wall. I liberated a screw of the same type from elsewhere in the van and tried to screw it into one of the holes where the screw was missing - no "bite" whatsoever.....is there some kind of clever toggle clip that's gone
missing or should the screw be hitting timber frame? Any ideas I don't want the gap growing! (The van is a 570/6 amara by the way)
Thanks
