Tow car compatibility with new led rear lights on

We have just bought a 2015 Swift Elegance 645 today, and having read a little about the LED rear lights on the Swift I asked the salesman about compatibility with our Range Rover Sport. Blank looks all around from him. I have read through the Sargent web page and they sell a box coded VLM4 to help with this problem. Any one on this forum know if a 2012 Range Rover Sport is compatible with this LED caravan rear light system before I start the tedious task of chasing Swift and Land Rover for an answer.
