Hi,

I have recently purchased a used caravan and noting some yellow tips to the flames on the hob, its a smev hob. So I am looking at possible causes and one thing that I find odd is the gas changeover valve is a gaslow propane one with a guage, however the
connected gas bottle is butane, the other pigtail cable is orange and is hanging there.

Sould a butane bottle be connected to this guage? I spoke to a service engineer the other day and he advised to clean the hob, jets etc and switch to propane, I was not aware of the gaslow gauge when I spoke to him.

Anyway the butane bottle may be old as the caravan was in storage for some time before I purchased it. I am wondering if I should just go and get a propane bottle instead, most of our pans now have black marks on the bottom after using it last weekend, I
would post a ppicture but cant see an option for that.

Thanks
