Stickies

With only 14 topics per page and at the moment four stickies is it any wonder that topics vanish down the list quickly and on to page two. Even when going to page two, three, four etc. the stickies are still there leaving only room for ten topics. Surely
in this day and age there's a better way. Either increase the number of topics per page or only have stickies on the first page. Surely this isn't too difficult to implement because afterall this is the only forum where I know this happens.
