BBC split with Met Office

Apparantly the BBC are seeking a new supplier for their weather forecasts.....and they haven't even invited the Met Office to quote, because they don't think they will be competitive.

The Met Office is publicly funded but pretends to work like a company by selling information and services (not unlike the BBC really!).

The bad news is that we still won't be rid of the dreadful Carol Kirkwood and her fellow clueless forecasters......because it is rumoured that the 70 or so weather presenters (yes really....70!) will either be taken on by the 'money no object BBC' or the
new providers.
