Slow forum (Closed)
This forum is getting fewer and fewer new posts. All semblance of debate is disappearing.
This isn't a popular holiday period, so I would guess that people are just getting fed up with it.
Why is this?
For myself, I am getting tired of having posts Deleted User and threads closed.
A bit of mild banter is no reason to remove posts in a wholesale fashion.
Starting a thread on a subject like the EU debate, that crosses all political lines and, as an important national issue, is being discussed throughout the country, should really not be closed.
The EU debate is not political, because the two sides of the debate do not follow party political lines. How can a subject that is being debated in every news medium, in every pub, amongst friends and neighbours and people meeting in the street and in cafes,
somehow not be suitable on the CC forum?
Really Mods......please look seriously at this for a moment and think again. Can this seriously be the only forum to 'ban' such a massively important, non-political subject?

In all fairness Ian, the Mods are only following the Forum Manager's instructions. Political discussion has been banned from this forum. It doesnt bother me in the least.
I discuss this subject every day on other forums which allow grown up discussions about News and Current Affairs.
I doubt if you will get the forum manager to allow such discussions.
Regards Kennine.

Sorry Ian, I can't comment as I would get this thread closed. I think you know my views any way.....

I get fed up with the same old snide comments posted by the same few people who, whatever the subject, drag it off topic to meet their own agenda.
I also get fed up with the seeming lack of will by management to deal with the repeat offenders.

That’s quite a few points you are making there Ian.
Firstly this time of year is a popular holiday period for retired members who want to avoid school holidays.
Secondly you are assuming that members mainly use the forum to have a debate.
Thirdly do you really believe that the referendum is not political when most of the high profile supporters for either side are politicians.
I guess we are having a debate.

Hi IanH,
I’m afraid I have to agree with Dave on this one, this thread will remain closed. While you may feel that your comments are not political, they are referring to a political issue, which in the past has caused debates which are not necessary on a caravanning
forum, as per the Community Guidelines.Thank you for your understanding.
