Gull
To say that I'm fuming is to put it mildly. I'm now down to three fish. These evil eyed scavengers have taken six in the last few days. My wife shouted me to tell me they had just landed on the garage and when I went out, just feet from them, they just stared back at me but finally took off when I clapped my hands. Within three minutes they were back and took another fish and the scales were there as evidence. The four were spawning, chasing each other around when the gull took one leaving me with three. I'm not replacing them because I don't see why I should feed vermin.
People ask why don't I put net over the pond? My response is why bother having a pond if you have to do that. This would affect the frogs, damselflies, water beetles etc. that use the pond.
I'm now going to look at the price of air rifles because that is the only answer. The authorities do nothing, our town is plastered with gull crap and the situation is getting worse with 500 breeding pairs just in Hereford. Last week we were at Pembroke Dock and there are less gulls there than what we have here in Hereford.
