Windows 10

I run Windows 7 on my computer and from what I've seen of 8 I was in no great hurry to change. This morning I received an email from Microsoft offering me a free upgrade to Windows 10 for free. I just had to opt in with my email and then wait until July
29th when it will be released. As Microsoft isn't renowned for giving away their O/S free, even if it is an upgrade, is there a catch?
