A leading academic, Dr. Alex Barrata, has warned that people with regional dialects need protecting against accentism (true, not making it up).

People have been known to try and change their accents to fit in and this discriminatory behaviour needs changing (honest, this is serious).

Dr. Barrata added (guess which forum member you could imagine speaking these words) 'Accentism should be taken more seriously (oh I am doctor). We should acknowledge that any form of discrimination, including accentism, should not be tolerated in a society
which seeks to be more inclusive'.

So let this be a warning to those on here, the likes of Rocky, Tinners, Molly etc. that your posts extracting the urine about anyones accent now gives anyone objecting to get the thread closed. Happy
