Glasgow to Dover

Hi All,

 I am looking for help/advice/personal experiences on the best time / day of the week to make this journey. I did this journey last year on a Friday and managed to be caught on the M25 and the Dartfod crossing
around 6ish. Up until then I had made good progress.

Should I be aiming for a journey through the night?

Any information gratefully received.
