Hardstanding and Awnings

We are new to this and I'm probably being thick (please do not endorse) but if we want to set up with an awning but are on a hardstanding how do you get the pegs in for the guide ropes. What I could do with is an explanation of the types of pitch and as
above what you do with awninings on a hardstanding. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks Lizndel
