Drive away Awnings

Hello, We are in the process of obtaining Insurance for our new motorhome. Our awning is a driveaway and we have discovered from 3 Insurers that they will not insure the awning when it is left onsite, only when attached to the motorhome. This seems rather
strange can anyone tell us if this is the norm. Thank you in anticipation
