Advice please?, Just came back from our first trip after our long break from caravaning. Got the bug again so we need to buy a few more things so I have a question.

Our Van has an external submerged pump that goes in the Aqua roll.?

Do I need to buy the hose and small ball valve kit for the AR or can I just buy the hose with pressure reducer valve and pistol connection ?  or will there be  an issue with the caravans water pressure switch for the submerged pump.

TIA,  Ian.

I have both. I find the valve direct connection to the van provides a useless flow to the shower. The "through the aquaroll" option is much better. Personal choice. Others on here will have different opinions. Direct connection saves the space needed to
    carry an aquaroll.

We also prefer the "via the aquaroll" method, we are not keen on connecting mains water directly to the van.

    Hi

via aquaroll every time , the pressure drop using the direct  connection renders shower and our toilet flush useless.

As I rarely use a serviced pitch I am happy just to iop up the aquaroll easily

Direct connection everytime, but I do pressure test the plumbing several times a year.

I would have thought that you were effectively pressure testing the plumbing every time that you connected up Winking

I assume AA means like they do on a service. A higher pressure than it would normally go to.

We use the 'via Aquaroll' methid on the odd occaision that we use serviced pitches.

I would have concerns about the idea of applying mains pressure to the caravan pipework, even with a pressure reducer.

Toilet flush using the van water supply rather than a separate tank? What make of van / mhome have you got?

Our previous van used water direct from the Aquaroll for toilet flush, it was a Sterling Eccles Emerald.

We've gone for 'via Aquaroll' I thought the direct connections are very expensive for the rare occaision we use fully serviced pitches, the small float valve adapted cap weighs very little and takes up no space at all, so is left in the van for when we do
    and has worked fine.

Thank you all, Hose and Valve for AR is the way I will go then.
