I have a autosleeper nuevo es 09 on a peugeot boxer base. Recently my garage had to change a tyre and lowered the spare wheel . Whilst winding the mechanism back up i am told that it will not move and that the mechanism has broken. I have been on
to Marquis, who said it is not them i should be talking to but Peugeot. I contacted Peugeot dealer in Eastbourne who have informed me that because it is a modified base it should be autosleeper who have  a replacement. Anybody out there who can help please?

I can't help you directly but I have something in the back of my mind about Sevels having a major modification to the spare wheel mechanism (2006-on models) because spare wheels had a habit of falling off. I am sure that Auto-Sleeper will be able to point
you in the right direction albeit if it is a wind-up mechanism then it sounds like it is essentially original. If it was winding it back up that it wouldn't move it sounds like it moved on the way down (perhaps with gravity assisting).  Maybe what
it needs is a freeing up of the cable with cleaning and lubrication or maybe the cable has broken. Perhaps a friendly garage might let you look at it in their inspection pit, (yes I know there are health and safety issues !!) Its unlikely to be a DIY repair
not least because it is under the vehicle. if the parts are completely gone you might be able to get a mechanism from a breaker but make sure it is compatible first.

Thank you Blue van man, but i have gone down all these avenues but to no avail. Marquis (Autosleeper Dealers) are currently trying to track down a new unit.
