Window crack: insurance cover

Our nine year old Bailey Ranger has developed a small crack in the large panoramic front window. To replace the window will cost nearly £900 and the insurance company are being v uncooperative and saying it is a manufacturing defect and therefore not covered.
Does anyone else have any similar experience please?
