Fridge vent covers

Can anyone tell me if covers are still required on new Domestic Fridge freezers, as my dealer says the are no longer supplied with new Bailey Unicorn Barcelonas. The hand book says they must be fitted in winter and during external washing. I emailed both Bailey and Domestic last week but have had no replies as yet.
