Bailey Orion water entry under front seat
I drove my Orion 400/2 through torrential rain on the M6 in the Lake District about 18 months ago. That evening when I went to set up my bedding I found that my duvet, kept under the mattress in the storage are, was sodden. The water seemed to be coming
in from the small plastic ventilation hole about 9" from the front bulkhead and level with the floor. My Bailey dealer checked it out and said there were no problems. The same thing happened again 3 months ago. I checked under the van and found both floors
had damp staining with white edges towards the front of the van. After my 3-year service a month ago the dealer reported 20% damp in the floor at the front near-side. I have to take it back after 3 months for another damp check.
I believe that in exteme rain and wind conditions with driving spray, water is forced up in a vortex under the plastic 'fairing' which is supposed to prevent water entering the ventilation system.
Has any other Orion owner had any similar problems? Any comments, observations or advice from any member would be appreciated.
