A snaking observation

I just noticed a thread concerning snaking.  I have found that my outfit (Land Rover Freelander and Bailey Olympus) is only ever noticeably affected by air turbulence when catching up and then passing car transporters.  I suspect that their form (open sides
and a collection of cars) creates a lot of what motor-racers refer to as `dirty air'.  I now approach them with cautiuon and never try to overtake them when going downhill.  I wonder whether anyone else has noticed this phenomenon?  Might be worth bearing
it in mind.
