Hi there,

Ive just joined up today as ive bought very recently a Sterling 586. Im just after some advice.

Much to my dismay on starting my research my current car is not up to the task so I had to get another car.

Ive bought a Volvo V60 2.0 181bhp Kerbweight 1564kg and towing cap of 1750kg. Volvo base the kerb weight on 75kg person and 90% of a full tank of fuel. I will be going on holiday with my wife and two children. Oh and of course i cant forget the mut.... sorry
dog. haha

Anyway the Sterling has an MTPLM of 1550kg. MRO of 1367kg.

Im am going to do a pratical towing course within the club to gain some experience on towing, but im just a little unsure/ unconfident on the match since joining the club and then being able to do the matching outfit. Even though the system didnt know the
kerbweight and towing cap of the vehicle.

Ok ill have it, I should of done further research before buying but the the weight ratio is around if not just slightly under 100%. I am aware of the guidelines of 85% however.

I was trying to get a fine balance of occasional towing and good consumption on the car which is very good. Which is a reason of getting this particular car.

Could anyone possible give me some advice on whether this combo will be ok. I know that the car to pull it with ease, im just more interested/concerned on the stablilty issue.

Thanks for any help

Ian
