The "Tour of Britain" is a misnomer
As a cycling enthusiast I received an Email detailing the route and itinery for the Tour of Britain cycle race in September.
Perhaps the name of this race should be changed as a tour of Britain it definitely is NOT.
It is to start at Liverpool; and then go Southwards.
What about Manchester Yorkshire Cumbria northumberland and most of the Eastern English counties. Are they not part of Britain any more? Scotland also is not considered part of Britain either. Shame because many cyclists in the North and the East of England
as well as Scotland would have liked to have seen part of the race.
Methinks the race should be renamed !!!!
