Try getting a friend who is a Lead member of the Caravan Club (but hasn't 'joined' the Club Together forum,  to login to the Club site, then go to the Club Together page and 'like' a post.  You'll find it's possible, because they don't have a Forum username, so no name appears against the like.  It may therefore be someone who has never been a member of Club Together but is enjoying 'the fame' and the speculation OR There may now be more than one Mystery Likers - in fact there may be several!

My husband fits this category of member exactly. I'll log off, then ask him to log on and "like" this post

CoolTold you - I know at least one person who has tried it as well, so there really isn't just one mystery liker!

The whole "Like" thing appears to be completely abused. Surely the idea was only intended as a way to indicate that you really liked somebody's post, not a cheap way of obtaining Star points.  Having looked at the scoring chart now I see that a "Like" is only worth one point anyway, so to make  any real difference to your score you would need to like everything!  - daft!

you are only surmising that a multiple liker is, as you put it, abusing the system, when in fact they may genuinely like the posts.

What - All of them?  It would probably work much better if no star points were awarded for "Likes". Then future likes would be much more of a true indication.

Many posts are likeable but there are the odd few that are not.

The issue could be resolved by only awarding points to the "likee". It might also improve the quality of the posts.

I think it's best the way it is; one point to the liker and one point to the likee. That seems fair enough. You'd need to do 20,000 likes to get from four purple to five purple if you're using likes to gain stars, an almost impossible task!
