Is CT software the Achilles Heel to the main site

This CT software is, to say the least, highly suspect in the security department. In it'self, that is not much of a problem. What is concerning is that it is linked to the main database of the secure CC website and could, under certain circumstances be used
as a back door to allow hackers and other malicious software to access member's details from the main site. The CC should be changing the CT from the poor and insecure bolt on to a proper stand alone Forum with all the checks and balances that would allow.
