Bombarded with Notifications from the forum

During the last few days my Junk folder in my Email account is suddenly being bombarded with Notifications from the forum. I received around 70 notifications this morning and a similar amount yesterday.
I have notified the Forum manager and am asking on here if anybody else is having the same problem.
