Touring sites West Coast of Scotland with 2 kids?

Hello,

We are a family of four, the kids are 6 & 8. We would like to find a nice route to take from the Lake District to Aberdeen via the West Coast of Scotland. Has anyone been on this route before or can anyone recommend some nice sites? We have a small 4 berth caravan.
