2006 BMW X3 2.0D SE Manual

Has anyone got any experience towing with one of these BMWs please.  We have an Abbey GTS 418 and are ready for changing our tow vehicle, which is currently a 2003 Kia Sorento 2.5 CDi Manual and to be honest tows really well, but we are looking for something
with a bit better fuel economy.  My husband likes the look of the BMW, but there is no exact data on the outfit match section, so would like feedback on anyones experiences.  Thank you.
