TV Reception in Chirk (Lady Margaret Site)

We are off to Chirk this week and the Site Info describes the TV reception as 'poor'. We have a new 'van with the Vision Plus Status Digital Antennna. Will this be OK to pick up an adequate signal, or, as the site leaflet suggests, will we need to take an
'external aerial'?. Any recent experiences would be most welcome!
