Advice needed for staying near Chester Racecourse

I am taking part in the Chester Marathon at the start of October and am thinking of taking my motor home and making a few days of it.

The race starts and finishes at the Chester Racecourse which is about 6 miles from the Chester Fairoaks Club site.  Are there any alternatives in the area that are perhaps closer?  The racecourse itself would be ideal but I can't find out whether there is
a commercial site there or not.

Thank you for any suggestions of suitable sites in the area that you can make.
