The cat among the pigeons. !!!!!
All over the news this morning about a dating agency for those wanting to indulge in audultery has been hacked and the personal details of it's members stolen.
While at first glance it might seem amusing, it is in fact very serious.
It highlights the dangers of secure personal data being stored on servers where the security is breachable.
No computer system is entirely unhackable but in my experience, those systems using the very latest software and the most expensive security measures are least vulnerable. Such as Banks, Building Societies and some Government departments.
Which makes you think about what companies store your personal data such as banking details etc and are they using the latest software protected by the most expensive security measures. It's quite a few. Of course none of those companies will admit to using
old technology but there will be quite a few out there.
