Buyer Beware - Kampa Rally Pro 520

Having just spent a small fortune on a Kampa Rally Pro 520 awning at the end of March 2013 I was looking forward to its first outing in May. On putting it up I found that some of the stitching of the awning had been missed during the manufacturing process
leaving an open seam.

I contacted the retailer on my return only to be told it would have to be returned to Kampa for repair!

I pointed out that it had been put up once, the defect was a manufacturing issue and I should be entitled to a replacement awning and not a repair. I went on to point out  that had I wanted a 'second' I would have bought a 'second' for considerably less
money.

This argument was to no avail since I should have checked the awning for defects within 7 days of purchase!

I am now in a position where I am having to send my awning away for repair having spent a lot of money for a reputable and quality guarunteed product.

Any constructive advice would be welcomed.

Moral of my story, if you buy a product 'out of season', check it when you get it, don't assume just because you buy quality, you get quality!

Very disappointed!
