BM, I think that if you are due to arrive on X-Mas day there will be a list of pitched available for your choise of pitch stuck to the window of the reception area. The wardens usually have the day off unless there are exceptional weather conditions such as frozen snow/ice on the paths (H&S issue). In the past we've seen wardens doing a late clean of the toilets on Christmas eve to save them the job on X-Mas day.

One useful tip if it is frosty, make up a strong salt solution and pour it down the sink and wash basin last thing at night before you get into bed. Most waste pipes have a 'low spot' which if water freezes there it will block the waste. The salt solution will stop it from freezing.

Thanks Nev, that's a really handy tip. I've managed to clear a blocked waste pipe by adding salt in the morning, having found that the water won't drain out, but never thought about being proactive.laughing

We spent the whole of last winter and this winter in the caravan. Luckily, we haven't yet had the problem of the Aquaroll freezing. The outside tap is sometimes frozen in the early morning so that you can't fill the Aquaroll until the temperature rises later in the day.

Thank you everyone we certainly  enjoyed our first year away so much we extended a few days, but sadly we cant stay longer than thks weekend due to our sonneeding to get back to sign on on 8th :(

We throughly recommend Polberro Holiday park, a CL near Looe, the only issue we have had is that due to being om a hill leveling her off is a bit of a chore but nothing that can't  be fixed.

.  Other than that if you are looking for peace quiet and friendly managers we would recommend here, especially kf you like ealks im the countryside, fishing for pleasure and easy to get to and find.

We cound your advice invaluable and are very vrateful.
