Hello Ken and Lorn. Welcome to Club Together. My wife and I are spending a few days over Christmas at a CL near Looe in Cornwall. If you are prepared to travel down that far then let me know and tomorrow I will give you the phone number and you can ring
the site regarding pitch availability. Have a happy adventure.

Sorry for the delay in getting back to you @johndailey do you have a link to the site you mentioned please so we can check it out and see what is there. Thanks?

Thank you all fir the best wishes.  We seem to be having problems finding somewhere to go that still has vacancies.

Will be checking out ross park tomorrow, but it seems hillhead and cromer are both full and bridlington while a nice site is a tad too close to home.  We rather go away further than somewhere we can get to in less than an our.  Especially as we are stored
    in whitewater caravan club site.

Has anyone got any  other ideas?

Write your comments here...01503 240486 is the phone number that we used. It may be a farm house so be prepared to ring a few times in case they are out working. Good luck.

May be difficult to get in if there's snow and ice about, though.

No, don't do Club sites at peak season prices. Much rather be on a CL over the holiday periods.

What is the Social life like on a CL? We are hoping to meet a few peple and make new friends which is why we were thinking of CC sites.

    Hi there all

Great suggestions above. Please also note that 2 of our Club sites offer Christmas meals & festivities in the onsite restaurants: Hillhead at Brixham and Seacroft at Cromer. Check the website for pitch availability and then to book Christmas dinner please
    call the site direct.

Is it too early to wish every one Very Merry Christmas wherever you end up... let the Festive adventures begin!

    Helen

Hi.  We are new to caravanning this year and have decided as the kids are now grown up we would like to spend christmas and new year away in our new van, perhaps meet some new friends.

Has anyway got any ideas where we could go?  We dont mind travelling in the UK.

Write your comments here...Yes, I suggest you look at Ross Park, Ipplepen Devon they have a superb Xmas and New Year package, with  superb meals and buffets and evening entertainment suitable for   "our age" not loud computer noise with the facility  to
a small dance floor and great surroundings and like minded people. You can split the package and take  Christmas or New Year.We have done it since our families left home and now too many grandchildren to care for... SG2

Write your comments here... sailorgirl unfortunately while Ross Park is a lovely site and we will be going sometime, we cann't afford their  hoiday prices.. to be there for christmas and new year would cost us in the region of £800

If you like photography / bird watching / walking  etc., try Tudor Caravan Park, which is next to Slimbridge and canal. Have spent two new Years there, and thoroughly enjoed. Good night to be had in pub. Price is OK too.

Write your comments here...I've seen lots of Christmas lights on caravans during the festive season, so it's unlikely there'd be any restrictions. The lights help to brighten up the dark winter evenings.

We did Christmas 2 years ago at Newcastleton Dumfries and Galloway and had a fabulous meal at the Grapes with Gail and Peter as hosts, too much food, about 7 courses and reasonable too. The site is an AS only 30 pitches but lovely shower rooms and walkable
to the small town with 3 pubs all dog friendly. Highly recommend site and pub. Happy Christmas!!!

Walkable? Only a hop, step and a jump. Very friendly village
