C Max tdi 2 litre diesel towing

Hi i have a sprite apline mtl 1200 and am planning on getting a C Max 11 plate 2litre tdi diesel we currently tow with an xtrail any one towed with a cmax if so will we notice a lot of difference between the two cars?
