Recommendations for Awning Inner Tent

We've come to the conclusion that an inner tent for the summer months is a good idea, but I am keen to know peoples thoughts on whether an inner tent or a pop-up tent is the right way forward.

I like the idea of the inner tents like this one
http://www.outdoormegastore.co.uk/sunncamp-3-berth-caravan-awning-inner-tent.html, but am concerned about 2 things: 1) will it clip onto the thicker aluminium poles I have for my Dorema; 2) is it breathable?



Or should we just get a pop-up festival tent and be done with it? Any experiences you have to share gratefully received.
