Motorhome repairs
Hi I had a rear bump accident in my motorhome and took it to Spinneys in Cheshire to get fixed, unfortunately when I went to pick it up the repair ( which was a rear body panel repair and bumper) was very visible, when I spoke to the director, his reply
was " well thats the best you're going to get and if your not happy I suggest you go elsewhere", I contacted the insurance company and the engineer came to view the motorhome and agreed that the repair was totally unacceptable. The insurance company have now
asked us to get some other estimates to get the work rectified, I was wondering if anyone on here could recommend anywhere we could go to? I am based in Cheshire but dont mind travelling if I need to. Whilst it was in Spinneys they also broke the check strap
on the drivers door, but refused to fix it without us paying for it, stating" if we fixed every problem for every person who tried it on we would be out of business" If we were trying it on we wouldnt have phoned the insurance company, they also left the floor
in the front cabin lifted up, when we made them aware of this they also denied that was how it had been left, I pointed out that my hands were dirty through just fixing it myself! Myself and my wife were left totally disgusted by their attitude as was one
of their own staff memebrs who gave us details of somebody else to complain to. Spinneys have not had the decency to reply to our email yet, I must point out that I myself work in the motor industry and my wife used to work in quality also for the motor industry
so we know what are acceptable levels of repair, it was a very hard situation to stay calm in when you are made to feel like liars! I would never go back there again and have advised our friends the same. Thankyou in advance for your help.
