JPOSH I have a Tom Tom device that does all you requirements, works very well. I found it by googleing caravan sat navs or something similar. Can@t remeber who exactly I bought it from.

I have been using TomTom systems for many years. Currently I have a Start 60 which may now not be a current model. It has a large 6 inch screen which makes it easy to follow. Rather than buy a dedicated caravan/motorhome version I purchased the camper maps
and added them myself which was a lot cheaper.

Were these non TomTom maps? If yes, where did you get them please?

You can purchase them online from the TomTom website. If you look on the map section you should find it in one of the drop down menues. Might be worth pointing out that you may need a larger, or additional, SD card as often the memory that comes with the
    device is not large enough.

I think I may persevere with my ten year old garmin .

It's still higher spec than a lot out there at the moment

Thanks for those comments. Unfortunately, my TomTom has no memory card and the memory cannot be expanded. TomTom has  very poor track record for memory. I am very disappointed and will probably go elsewhere next time.
