Brake away cable

Just got a new tow car with a witter detachable tow ball my concern is if i clip the cable round the ball as i have allways done with a fixed ball shuld the detachable ball come away from the car then the cable wont do its job there is a hole in the part
that is fixed to the car where it can be cliped do i need a differnt cable with a stronger clip as if the worst happened it would be a straigh pull on the clip instead of the cable forming a nose round the tow ball.
