Ultimate Family sized tow car.

Okay I see we have a thread for ultimate tow car, so this is a thread for people that have normal size family cars. 

I drive a Toyota Avensis 1.8 VVTI manual (04) that has a maximum tow limit of 1300kg, now I'm struggling to find a tourer to come in at the 85% mark for recommended MTPLM.

So for those of us that can't afford or afford to run a large tow car what are or have you used and recommend as your best ultimate family tow car
