MOTOR HOME V CARAVAN

I know most of the pro's and cons of having a motor home but can anyone convince me that one is better than the other, I mean there is no point in towing a car behind a motor home you might as well stick with a outfit and what happens if you want
to visit a town is it not better to be able to leave your residence behind ?
