Roof rails

We have a 2013 elddis that has a higher roof rail down both sides of the van that has stopped the black lines down the side of the van, but when the van is level on site and it rains it holds the water on the roof like a lake because the rails stop it coming
off the sides and the roof strips stop it coming off front and back. swift and coachman also have the same idea but does anyone else have the same problem.
