IMPOSSIBLE WINDOW STAYS..!!!

Hi all, I am trying to replace the white window trim in the windows of my elddis hurricane gt. the problem is that on the mount that is attached to the caravan, there is two screws, one which comes out no problems. the other is partially obscured by the
arm of the stay and i can see no way of getting it past the plastic mould and therefore off the window allowing access to the trim...  thanks in advance for any help given!

HELP PLEASE!!!
