Alternatives to 2010 - Bailey Pegasus 514

Hi, I'm looking for some advice on what caravan to buy.

We briefly owned a 2007 Bailey Ranger 470/4 but serious damp issues put an end to that. We found the layout ideal for our family (16 year old & 10 year old) with the front double bed being spacious for us, and the bunks worked for the kids.

I'm now considering what to get as a replacement. I'd like the same layout with a max MTPLM of ~1470kg (I'm looking to replace my Citroen C4 Grand Picasso 1.6Hdi with a ~ 2008 Honda CR-V). I'm looking to spend no more that £11K.

For that money the Bailey Pegasus 514 looks like a good option, but wondered:

- how much of an advantange/disadvantage is the Alu-Tech construction over older Baileys or other manufacturers?

- should I consider an older Bailey like the Ranger GT 60 510/4 or even another Ranger Series 5 470/4? I'm happy to spend less - but want something that will last.

- what other vans would people recommend from other manufactures, with similar spec? And why?

- The Swift Charisma 560, Sterling Eccles Moonstone, Elddis Odyssey 540, Coachman Atlantia 520/4 and Sterling Europa 520 seem to offer similar. Any comments on these versus the Pegasus 514?

Thanks for responding!
