Low Wattage Kettle review

Hello all, We need to replace our 750w kettle, had it for many years, but it has now started to leak at the base. I have looked around on the web, and whilst there are many to choose from, there are not many reviews/reports on the quality and servicability.
I have however read that some kettles are susceptible to spillage when pouring, and others that are poor quality, or flimsy. Has anybody any recent experience on this subject before I commit to buy.
