Winter Heating - Is there any advantage?
The controller for the Truma heater in my caravan shows that the thermostat can be set at 5ºC. Is there any advantage in having it set at this and the heater left on during the winter when it is actually unlikely that we will be using the caravan? All the
water in the caravan has been drained off and any perishable contents removed. My thoughts are that it would be counter productive as warm air hold more moisture than cold air and therefore attract more dampness into the caravan. Does anyone have opposite
views. I do realise that there is a cost involved for the electricity if it is left on and it would be the old question of cost over benefit.
