Abbey wood , suitable for cycling?

Off to London to stay at Abbey Wood soon.

has anyone any experience of leisure cycling nearby.

We are not planning on cycling into Central London but wondered if there were any car free trails or routes nearby.

have searched online but not really come up with anything.
