iPad OS Update

I have just updated my iPad to iOS 8.1.3. Ever since I did it the whole device seems slower and 'Safari' has changed in the way it works, and certainly not for the better. Facebook also fails to open properly about once every three times.

Is anybody else experiencing similar problems after an update to 8.1.3 ? Previous updates have never caused and problems.
